Rupert Kraus started his professional career in 2000 at Austrian Airlines in Vienna, Austria. His passion for airline business was given from the beginning.

Rupert’s working experience started in several different positions in Ground Operation follow by roles in Revenue Management and Pricing for Europe as well as Intercontinental.

In 2014 he took over the position of Network Development for Longhaul, still at Austrian Airlines followed 2 years later by taking over the responsibility for Lufthansa Group Network Development to Africa & Middle East.

In 2020 he joined the Lufthansa Group project OCEAN, defining a new Airline from the scratch focusing on leisure travel within LHG out of Frankfurt and Munich. He holds the position of Director Network & Partnerships at Discover Airlines. Rupert got experience in all different commercial areas while defining and developing the set-up of Discover Airlines. The Airline currently operates 28 aircraft to >60 destinations.

Rupert’s focus is to constantly enhance commercial cooperations and define a sustainable and profitable network.
