Tim is an economic development expert with two decades of experience in policy, governance and economic competitiveness.

He is a partner at public sector advisory firm Helm Growth Advisors where he leads the Competitiveness practice and the Cape Town office.

He was previously the Shadow Minister of Finance in South Africa, the Chair of South African Tourism, and the CEO of Wesgro, the Tourism, Trade & Investment Promotion Agency for Cape Town & the Western Cape
